STE. MARIE TO LEAD VOD VENTURE INTERTAINER

Video-on-demand provider Intertainer has tapped industry vet Stephen
Ste.
Marie as prexy and chief operating officer. Ste. Marie will oversee
Intertainer's daily operations and help manage the company's VOD
service. Ste. Marie was previously CEO for CareerPath.com. Prior
to that, he was senior veep of DirecTV. Ste. Marie replaces Intertainer
COO Caroline Beck, who ankled the company several months ago. Ste.
Marie takes over the prexy title from Intertainer CEO and former
prexy Jonathan Taplin.
"Steve's deep experience in the cable, satellite and Internet
industries has amply prepared him to fill this crucial management
role at Intertainer," said Taplin. "As we continue to
grow, it will be incredibly helpful for me to have a person of his
capability and vision to lead the organization."
Intertainer delivers movies, musicvideos, television and shopping
on-demand to both PCs and TVs. Company has relationships with Universal
Pictures, Warner Bros., DreamWorks, New Line Cinema and others.
Strategic partners include Comcast, Intel, Microsoft, NBC, Qwest
and Sony.
