Microsoft Pact For Content, Svc On Demand To PCs, TVs
CULVER CITY, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) entered a strategic
alliance with Intertainer Inc. to deliver entertainment products to consumers
through Intertainer's broadband service.
Terms weren't disclosed.
In a press release Monday, Microsoft said the companies plan to accelerate
widescale deployment of Intertainer's content-aggregation service, providing
consumers with on-demand entertainment.
The companies will deliver new releases and classic films, music, television
programs and shopping through personal computers and televisions over
Intertainer's service, which utilizes digital subscriber lines and cable.
Intertainer's service provides a way to get movies, music and television on a
personal computer or television.
